Charles Lu is co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Espresso Systems and a longtime blockchain enthusiast, trader, and developer. He started the Stanford Blockchain Club in 2014 while completing his B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science and has been on a leave of absence from his Ph.D. studies under Dan Boneh since 2019.

Espresso's mission is to bring web3 applications to the mainstream by making them cheaper, scalable, and more private for users.
