Daniel Alegre
Daniel Alegre is the new Chief Executive Officer at Yuga Labs. He previously served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Activision Blizzard (NYSE: ATVI) from early 2020- 2023, where he oversaw the international delivery and commercialization of its creative franchises such as Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, Diablo, Overwatch and Candy Crush. Under his leadership, the company expanded its gaming footprint across platforms for console, PC and mobile availability, while spearheading the international growth of its studios.
Previously, Daniel spent more than sixteen years at Google in various leadership roles. He was President of Global Retail and Shopping, where he embedded ecommerce across all Google product areas and helped to diversify beyond advertising into the retail transactions business. Prior to that, Daniel was President of the company’s Global and Strategic Partnerships organization, developing and strengthening strategic relationships with major global brands across Google’s core business areas. Daniel was also instrumental in Google’s expansion in key international markets, serving as President of Google’s Asia-Pacific and Japan businesses while based in China, Singapore and Tokyo, and also as Vice President of the Latin America business. Prior to Google, Daniel served as Vice President at Bertelsmann Media where he ran a division of BMG Music in Latin America as well as partnerships for the Bertelsmann eCommerce Group in New York City.
Daniel holds dual MBA and JD degrees from Harvard Business School and Harvard Law School, respectively, and a BA degree with Honors from Princeton University from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. Daniel is fluent in English, Spanish, French and German, and proficient in Russian.
