Ryan Wyatt
Ryan Wyatt is the President of Polygon Labs, leading the business team working to help advance the Polygon ecosystems across our various products. Prior to Polygon, Ryan spent almost 8 years at Google, where he created YouTube’s gaming vertical and built it into the video platform’s second-biggest business generating billions in revenue.
A 14-year game industry veteran, Ryan began his career as a competitive Call of Duty player while still in college. He ran tournament operations at Major League Gaming and built Machinima’s partnership network, helping transform esports into a global phenomenon. Ryan joined YouTube as the Global Head of Gaming at the age of 27.
A New York Times Best Selling Author, Ryan was named to Forbes 30 under 30, The Hollywood Reporter's 35 Rising Executives 35 and Under, Fortune's 40 under 40 lists, and was nominated for a Shorty Award in the Gaming category.
Ryan’s career coincided with and contributed to the rise of gaming to the cultural mainstream. That experience gives him a unique and nuanced understanding of the possibilities offered by blockchain technology. He is a big believer in the potential of digital ownership, collective creation and open and free economics in gaming and beyond.
